My soul is dark – Oh! Quickly string The harp I yet can brook to hear; And let thy gentle fingers fling Its melting murmurs o’er mine ear. If in this heart a hope be dear, That sound shall charm it forth again: If in these eyes there lurk a tear, ‘Twill flow, and cease to burn my brain. But bid the strain be wild and deep, Nor let thy notes of joy be first: I tell thee, minstrel, I must weep, Or else this heavy heart will burst; For it hath been by sorrow nursed, And ached in sleepless silence, long; And now ‘tis doomed to know the worst, And break at once – or yield to song.

By the throes of night; A moon under water, Barefoot, I enter; Skyclad and yearning. Of earth and aether; I am bound. Covet me. Amidst slumbering stones; A starlight vigil. Upon my brow, I bear A diadem of lamented stars. Of earth and aether; I am bound. Covet me. By wand and moon; I am found. Seduce me. Sith co nem. Nem co doman. Doman fo ním, Nert hi cach, Án forlann, Lan do mil, Mid co saith. Sam hi ngam... Walk the circle cast; Widdershins. Widdershins, Amaranthine. Forego… “I do not see the world of the living: Summer will be without flowers, Women without modesty, Men without valor, Conquests without a King, Walls of spear-points on every plain. A multitude of storms Around bare fortresses Empty their dark buildings, High places cannot endure. Treacherous princelings, A shroud of sorrows On old high judgments. Every man a betrayer, Every son a brigand, People will be born without surviving. Evil times, In which the son will derange his father; In which the daughter will derange…” A crow in phantom flight soars beyond to kiss the night.

Nepenthe 11:55
Veiled in sorrow; The fading light slips away. Enraptured by the dark; Enamoured by my failing sight, I silently weep. Tears fall upon the altar …only to resplendently falter. Gethsemane’s ruin; I succumb to the autumn. As I grow weary, I welcome the waning of life. I silently weep. The fallen leaves, The fallen. Sleep, sweetling; Silence is golden. As the sun sets, Drink from death’s chalice. An olden wine of yore; Nepenthe; forevermore. The heart that was broken, Set alight by autumn fire. An umber cloud thickens Across the emblazoned sky. Stripped from the bark Lie all the leaves fallen; Drenched in sorrows spoken. Extol my virtues Sodden on the forest floor; Bewildered by petrichor. A ceaseless outpouring, I am forever yours. I am the end: A spectre, only.
4.
Waterwings 04:55
Waterwings, The sky follows you: An impaled sun in our ornamental dream. Waterwings, The wind whispers your name: Through forlorn trees as your footsteps, they leave. Child, in aura, A heart cleaved in two: A yearning for the past, present and future with you. Moon in Cancer, I only dream of you: Dreams turn to sorrow as the day turns anew. I am the earth; you, the stream. A bond of flesh severed by grief. “Eve shall kiss night, And the leaves stir like rain As the wind stealeth light O’er the grass of the plain. Unseen are thine eyes Mid the dreamy night’s sleeping, And on my mouth there lies The dear rain of thy weeping.”
5.
Bathe in the rue of fragrant leaves. Vernal incantations Enchant the hollow shroud. Ardent creations Purge this lissome cloud. Arisen in sentience, gossamer and dew From the womb of the Earth: born anew. Sing beneath the waxing of the Lenten Moon. Rains of fury Beguiling a despondent Earth. Wraiths of centuries Channeling tears of rebirth. Cocooned in bleeding roots, Bereft of the mother of the Spring Moot. Litha! Litha! Tears of awakening.

Aurorae 11:13
I remember, I remember A cold night amidst December Where mangled thickets hung low Beneath a serene moon glow. The sky was dark as the long night drew down, A blanket of snow gave the earth her crown. A crown of nothingness; A crown of dread. In tears I cowered, Cold hearted; withered. My breathing faltered, As I stuttered towards the stars "For who am I? A mere mortal, enfolded in a cloak of scars?" All was silent, besides the whispering trees. “For what am I? An unyielding, unrelenting child of dust? Lay me down among the rocks and roots: Take me from this zoetic realm.” I remember, I remember The deadest night amidst December. The wolf's howls evade the stars And the zodiac dances from afar. The silence was broken; my belief with it, From out of the mist came the Nightspirit. An ancestral light; Iridescent delight. Enraptured, enamored Sheltered from the North My breathing faltered, As Aurora stole me away. I remember, I remember A cold night amidst December. I remember, I remember The eve of forever.

Niënor 08:36
Dreams of Dor-lomin: Centuries old. The morning never came, For the world was sheathed in sorrow. Niniel! Maid of Tears! Born fair, yet cursed with endless woe. Hail! Worm of Morgoth, Dripping pitiless venom. For the one that lies as dead, Is the one whom lies burnt and scarred. Turambar! Master of Doom! Bleeding, dying for Glaurung. Below Haudh-en-Elleth; Under a solemn moon, He lay motionless in white: A weeping bride at his side. "Farewell, O twice beloved! Master of doom; By doom mastered! O, happy to be dead! Water, water! Take now Niniel: Mourning daughter of Morwen! Bear me down to the Sea!" Nienor! Sister of Mourning! Heed me, as I join you in death. Dreams of Dor-lomin: Centuries old. Fading once again, With the Children of Hurin.
